40 Gauge (10 Micron), 18" x 1500' cast stretch wrap is made from LLDPE (Linear Low Density Polyethylene) film wound on a 3" core. It is recommended for hand-wrapping standard pallets carrying lightweight loads. It can stand up to heat, humidity, and cold with performance from 0° to 49° C (32° to 120° F). LLDPE cast film provides up to 250% stretch with 2-sided cling, allowing it to grip loads tightly without slipping while using less material than thicker films. The 40 gauge (10 micron) thickness is an economical alternative to 80 gauge film for everyday lightweight palletizing in warehousing, shipping, and storage operations. It is FDA compliant for indirect food contact, making it suitable for food handling and packaging environments. While it contains no recycled content and is not biodegradable, its high stretch ratio reduces overall film consumption per pallet.
